Khaki Weed Identification & Control Guide
Part 1 of the Ultimate DIYer Sticker Weed Series. This guide focuses on identifying Khaki Weed before it produces painful stickers, understanding the tap root, choosing the right time to pull it, and looking at post-emergent and prevention options.
Why This Guide Matters
Sticker weeds are much easier to deal with when you identify them before they mature. In this project I show what Khaki Weed looks like, what the tap root looks like, when hand removal makes the most sense, and how it differs from other sticker-producing weeds such as sandburs, goat heads, lawn burweed, and cocklebur.
The goal is to identify the plant correctly first, then choose a control method that fits the lawn and the product label.
