Wood test: Drilled 1-1/4-inch holes. Power: Felt very strong, with especially strong torque in Low gear. Heat: Became a bit warm during testing.
Ergonomics: Felt very similar to a DEWALT drill in the hand and weighed about 1 oz more than the comparable DEWALT DCD805 in this comparison. Biggest weakness: With larger wood bits in High gear, it struggled more than the DCD805.
What to Know Before Buying
It is a bare tool. The listing says battery and charger are not included. This is most attractive for someone who already owns compatible packs.

Bottom Line
The Zybaiiru came out of this test looking better than the headline specifications alone would suggest. It held bits securely, essentially matched its claimed High-speed RPM, exceeded the listed Low-speed RPM, drilled a 1/2-inch hole in concrete effectively in hammer mode and showed a lot of torque in Low gear. It felt remarkably similar to the comparable DEWALT DCD805 in the hand and was only about 1 oz heavier in this comparison. The tradeoff is that larger wood bits exposed a weakness in High gear, where it bogged more than the DCD805. For a homeowner who already owns compatible batteries, that is a much more useful picture than simply repeating the 1,151 in-lb marketing claim.
